In this case, the only solution you will have is to replace the battery as battery reconditioning will not work.

1.2 Type Of Battery

The only other factor to consider when checking if battery reconditioning will work is the type of the battery. There are certain battery types that you originally and physically cannot recondition. If the battery you are trying to recondition is not one of the following types, then reconditioning will not work.

1.2.1 Lithium-Ion

These are the most popular and are one of the few batteries that can be reconditioned. The most well-known devices that contain this battery type are laptops and even phones.

1.2.2 NiCad

These batteries are such that they suffer the most with a decline in performance. To recondition them, it essential that you introduce a high amount of voltage within their terminals.

1.2.3 NiMH 

These Nickel Metal Hydride batteries are reconditionable. However, to do so, you must be put through several cycles of deep charging.

1.2.4 Lead-Acid

These are the only wet cell batteries that you will find to be reconditionable as well. The most well-known item in which you can find these batteries are cars. 

1.2.5 AGM and Gel

One of the safest batteries that one can think about reconditioning. They are also by far the easiest to recondition; simply recharge at a slow place after discharging them fully.
